Dota Drafts is a free fan-made tool for planning Dota 2 drafts. It has no accounts and no sign-up, and it does not ask you for any personal information. This page explains exactly what happens with data when you use the site.

What we do not collect

There is no registration, no login and no user profiles. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment details or Steam account.

Your drafts are not stored on our servers. A draft lives in your browser and, when you share it, inside the link itself (the hero IDs in the URL). Nobody but the person you send the link to can see it.

What is stored in your browser

The site saves two technical items in your browser's local storage:

• dd-locale — the interface language you picked (en, uk or ru).

• dotadrafts_item_constants_v2 — a cached copy of the Dota 2 item catalogue, so the site does not re-download it on every visit. It is refreshed roughly once a day.

Neither of these identifies you. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings; the site will keep working and will simply recreate them.

Analytics

We may use PostHog to count anonymous, aggregated usage — for example how many people opened the draft page or which features get used. This is used only to decide what to improve.

These statistics are not tied to a name or an account. If analytics is enabled, PostHog may set its own cookies or storage entries; you can block them with your browser settings or an ad blocker without breaking the site.

Third-party services

Some parts of the page are loaded from other companies, which means those companies receive your IP address and basic request information, as happens with any website:

• Valve / Steam CDN — hero and item images.

• Google Fonts — the interface font.

• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the site.

• PostHog — analytics, if enabled (see above).

We also read public Dota 2 statistics from OpenDota and Stratz. Those requests are made by our server, not by your browser, and they contain only hero identifiers — never anything about you.

Children

The site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from them. Since no personal data is collected from anyone, no such data about a child can be stored either.

Your rights

Because we do not store personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. Everything the site keeps is in your own browser and can be removed by clearing site data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
